Harvey was born and raised in a small close knit town of Buras, La. Growing up in a small community he learned the values of honesty, family, and service to others. Upon graduating high school, these values led to a career in the military.

Harvey joined the U.S. Navy in 1991 as a cryptologic technician. During his 20 year career he traveled throughout the United States, the Caribbean, Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East. He finished his career at Fort Gordon in 2011 and decided with his family to put down roots. He has been part of the CSRA since 2005.

Harvey met his wife when they were stationed together in Puerto Rico. Together they have two children. Both are graduates of Evans High School. Their son is a computer scientist for the Department of the Air Force and their Daughter is currently studying nursing at Augusta University.

After military retirement Harvey worked as a contractor for the government for a number of years until the pull to get into the community became too strong. He decided to start down the path of real estate to satisfy his love of meeting new people and using the values he learned as a child to help others achieve their goal of home ownership.
